Hi!

Universal way to investigate of something with word - switch on macro recording, type text, select it, copy it into clipboard etc etc - and than save recorded macro. Open than VB for Word, find you macro in the modules and you will see all objects and methods involved to reproduce your actions recorded by macro. This way I investigated 90% of things in Word.

>Can anyone tell me how to select text in a Word document using automation? I need to select only the last text entered (using the .typetext method). Alternatively, I could use the .insertafter method to insert text but then I would need to know how to unselect the text afterwords.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
