Philip/Guy, thanks for your replies.
I am stil having problems. I have reinstalled PWS from Win98 cd ,and I am
fairly happy it is up and running. (I can bring up IE and see my home page)

I still cant get further than the first screen with VI.
It asks : What Server do you want to use ? . I was putting in my home page
but I reckon this must be wrong.
However, I cant finf the NAME OF MY SERVER anywhere. Where can I find this
in VI ?

Thanks again

Gerard

>When you went into to PWS, did you click on the "Start" button to start PWS? If so, you will see an indicator that the web server is running. as a side note, did you install PWS from the VS CDs? If you have a Windows98 CD, install PWS and MTS off of that. We have found that the PWS from the VS CDs if flaky.
