A little while back, I believe Della Martin and others had a dialog about a Database Error message when using CRW from VFP.

I've also experienced it, but with a very bizarre twist:

Our app writes out 3 FOX2X files to a USERPATH folder, and then launches a Crystal RPT file (via the CRW API), and the report pops up on the screen. Pretty basic stuff, and it works fine under 95 and 98.

However, under NT, I'd say 1 out of every 4 instances of running the report we get 'Seagate Crystal Reports Database Error: Cannot load XXXXXXX.DBF'

If the user runs it again, the report usually comes up. I thought maybe it was a timing issue, so I intentionally put pauses in our app, but to no avail.

We distribute P2BXBSE.DLL. To the best of my awareness, there's only 1 version of this DLL for 95/98 and NT.

This error has NEVER occured under 95/98. I can't find anything in Seagate's tech section.

A case of beer (or Jolt Cola) to the person with the answer to this one!

TIA,
Kevin
