I have amassed a fair amount of material on the strengths of VFP – and the proof will be in the demo of the software. However, invariably, there will be a tech person from the other organization(s) who knows absolutely nothing about VFP and will force us to defend our choice in using the product. As I mentioned, I feel comfortable doing so – however, the one thing I would like to have is a list of some ‘high-profile’ companies that use VFP in some form or another. Can anyone help me out on this one – or point me to source that has related information?

Visa, in its Latin American and Caribbean Region (based in Miami), where I work, processes the Visa Cash transactions (back office) in Latin America. It is a rechargable smart card (with a microchip in it) for purchases of small amounts (like Bus rides, a hamburger lunch, whatever). That processing is done nightly in VFP (in a standard multi-user LAN app). A separate web app, written in VFP with Web Connect, allows banks to access that information through the Internet.
A few months ago, Visa run a contest to publicize Visa Cash in one city in Puerto Rico, with over 100 prizes, starting with an automobile as first prize. It used the Visa Cash database, where each purchase transaction in a 3-month period gave you one entry, plus manually entered mail-in forms of course. The winners were picked by a VFP app too.
I know because I wrote all of them.
PS: There are other VFP apps running in Visa LAC (Miami), but these are the ones I can talk about.
