> 1) I am using SUM function in the report designer to calculate the sum of my 'hour' column. For example, SUM(creport.hours). (Hours are numeric value) I am getting an error "SUM.prg does not exist" How can I calculate the sum of the values on the report?

Mahmood,

Exactly how are you doing the summing?

Put the control for the sum of the hours in the summary band of a group, or in the report summary, or page footer. In the expression put "Hours" (no quotes), click the Calculations button and choose Sum. Choose to reset at whatever is appropriate (end of group, end of page, end of report). You won't be using "SUM(Hours)" in the report control.

If using a report variable (Report | Variables) the Variable would be MySum, the value to store would be Hours, the initial value 0, Calculate would be Sum, and reset where appropriate. Again, you would not use "SUM(Hours)".
