I have had to resort to this more than once and it has helped me. Usually it is a private DS environment setting. What I do is DISPLAY/LIST STATUS under the conditions where it works and again under the conditions where it fails. I then compare all the settings.

A better way would probably be to create a 2-D array in the form and populate with the environment variable and current setting [get all the variables from the SET DATASESSION list in the VFP Help]. Create another array with the settings in your default data session [DS #1]. Then compare the 2 arrays in the debugger.
