Chris,
I go through an ISP, and I also want another computer (Win98) to be able to use my internet connection. I use Outlook.
I will try what you suggested and see what happens and report back. Anyone else have some ideas?
TIA

>>I am a relative newbie to W2K server. I can get around on Win98 etc., but am stumped on making my W2K server work with my email client, Outlook.

>>I have a connection to the internet, and IE5.5 works fine when I connect. However, after I installed Outlook, there is something about the configuration that won't allow it to use my internet connection.
>>
>>Can somebody tell me what I should do, in "W2K for Dummies" language? Thanks so much.

>Are you using Outlook, or Outlook Express? I am using Outlook on Windows 2000 Server, and am able to connect to my ISP mail server across my LAN without any trouble. Well, most of the time :-). Are you connecting directly from your W2K machine to your ISP, or through a LAN like I am?

>In Outlook, the connection configurations can be reached by selecting Tools, Accounts from the menu. In the Internet Accounts window, select the Mail tab. Select your account, then select Properties. In the Properties window, select the Connection tab.
