My idea is to use got/lostfocus to control Tab access, and images's mouseover to control mouse access. Indeed what I'd do is to triger the command button methods from mousemove.

Notice that in order to know when the mouse "enters" or "leaves" the control, you have to use a custom property in the control that acts as a flag.
