Nobody knows, really. But for a language that's not already released, it is doing a lot of noise. Also, MS submitted it (and the IL) to the Ecma, so it can become a standard and, eventually, go beyond MS.

As I said, it's worth to take a look at it, but I'd not dive in it right now.
