I don't know why you can't use the report writer. It is not an absolute marvel, but it's far easier to use than the other commands. Besides, "@ say" commands are there just for backward compatibility but are not a recommendable thing.

Also, printing in Windows is not the same that the old DOS style where you are accesing the port directly.

If you want, tell me a little more about what do you need to do and let's see if you can use a report.
