I'm trying to get a handle on VFP help & the direction to go for the future. This appears to be an issue where MS (again) is keeping things "muddy". This raises a red flag for me because I try hard to not learn ( and relearn) the same things over and over again. I guess it adds to their bottom line but it turns programmers heads to "mush". You mention the html standard is changing in VS.Net BTW. Is that the *.HSX that I've heard about? Bill

Rick's program is excellent.

HTML help is a newer "standard" so I guess users would like that over the older WinHelp (HLP) format. HLP is much faster than CHM though.

Note: The html help "standard" is changing again in VS.Net BTW
