Situation...
I have an application which seems to have problems running in a pre-VFPsp4 version of VFP. The problem is that the application needs to be distributed to several hundred locations located througout the US. Unfortunately I am approximately 150 from the nearest installation to do any testing. At this time I really don't want to install the new run time on all 200 as the people that will be doing the install are not computer literate.

I was considering including the two or three vfp required run time files with the exe and using a self extracting winzip file to load the program and the run time files to their computers.

Questions...

When they click on the vfp exe file will it go out and try to use the old installed run time or will it look in its directory first for the run time files and use them?

Does anyone know of any compatablilites problems or other issues doing it this way?

I am looking for a quick fix until I can address the installation of the new run time created with sp4.

Any help will be apprciated
