I don't know if someone else mentioned AccountMate as this thread is quite long.

However, I believe that you would find AccountMate to be quite satisfactory.

I am using it with some of my clients. It has three major versions based on the back end environment. Each step up the ladder of bigger back end adds more user function, but the code for most of the general functions that are in all versions is the same in a fairly well done OOP way.

They are a bit pricy for their development kit, but this is a very serious accounting system.

The three flavors are a "LAN" version which uses only VFP databases. An SQL version (meaning M$ SQL) and an AS400 version. The AS400 version uses the
VFP front end objects that are used in the other two versions and a PC as a client with AS400 DB/2 SQL as the back end.

It has many nice international features including Euro and other foreign currency support and it supports many many languages. One of my clients has
people who simultaniously are using Spanish on some clients and English on others.

The international language features include many DBC (double byte character) languages like mainland and Tiawan Chinese etc.

I am also working on putting a medical practice management system with it.
