Yes, I do something like that, but I create remote views wih fields of other tables but only to the interface. I have a procedure that create the views and only at the fields of the main table I put them updatble with the setprop(), I think, with this I can have joins in the views for other information to user ( of for my own control) but only the main table is updated.
