>>Again, in plain English, I am not saying that is what is happening, just the impression from the outside. See the reply from Martin, it seems that I am clearer to people who are not native English speakers.

Back to the (relatively) plain English part of my first post.

"I think you'll find that this isn't a community, rather a small clique of self-appointed experts who tolerate outsiders looking in, as long as they don't express opinions at variance with their own. The "inner sanctum" do not have to give explanations for their opinions, they are holy truths."

This view was gained from reading various threads. It was the overall perception that I came away with.

On the whole most people are helpful, even the "inner sanctum" & do their best to help. And I have much to learn from many of these people.

I still stand by my view of their intolerance of opinions differing from their own. Because of their standing within this community (giving it the benefit of the doubt), some feel that they are able to make pronouncements that should be taken as gospel (for example, Craig Berntston, who prompted my initial comment) & when criticised, the group closes ranks & defends each other (for example, Cindy Winegarden, defending Craig's lack of explanation on the grounds that the poor boy was too busy).

The "inner sanctum" may also have something to learn from me. I have a different background, have dealt with different problems & may have different solutions. Given the response to various people (e.g the original poster in this thread), I feel that anything at variance with the "experts" will be greeted with scorn. Given their attitudes, it makes if difficult for outsiders like myself to join in, making it somewhat less of a community & more of a clique.

You obviously have a completely different view on this, but that does not make my view wrong. I hope my explanation clarifies my views for you.
