>Anyone else run into this? I just installed Windows 2000 Server on a new Dell laptop. The laptop is in a docking station with a Dell M770 monitor attached. Although the monitor is capable of 1280x1024, changing the resolution from 1024x768 (the default since that's the max the laptop screen is capable of) to 1280x1024 doesn't change the resolution, it just changes the desktop size to that and I have to scroll to see it all. Dell support couldn't help, and seemed to imply that's all Windows 2000 Server can do, which is bogus.

I can't help you much but I can tell you it's the video driver you should focus on not the OS. You should see if dell as an updated video driver for Win2K on the website.
