Are you opening a lot of tables? Getting large views? Add a few wait windows to the code to see where the slow spots are (low tech but a quick way to do it).

Also ask the clients to try to determine what's different when an app opens slowly since you have this problem with several clients. Lots of people on the server? Big printjobs running? Busy time for the email?

When the user runs the application the VFP 6 window is displayed but the application seems to hang before the login form is displayed. Sometimes if they wait long enough the login form will come up (several minutes). All that happens before the login form is displayed is the envirnment is set up and a couple of small tables are opened. Most of the time everything is fine, but once every week or two one user will have this problem. I think it is related to opening the tables over the network (network problem / setting / traffic). All of my applications are multi user networked (usually NT) applications. The applications are installed on the workstations and the data is on the server.
