i have tried summing a grid using this method actually, but the problem is when u want to go back a few rows then the whole grid starts to flicker because the record keeps jumping to the end of file and then back to the current record.
this happens especially if there are too many rows in the grid
i tried sending the sum result to a cursor and then picking up from there but for some strange reason there is a gap of one row, the total comes up only after i enter a new row. which is confusing for the user.
any way around these problems?
