Regarding your problem, I had a similar problem with a small network I look after. For 6 months the situation consumed enormous amounts of time. I had graphing machines attached to the electrical side of things to measure voltage over 48 hour periods and lots more.

Finally I had a proper (not electrician) cabling expert run through all the CAT5 in the building. Guess what - all the cabling was tied to the electrical wiring with cable ties, it ran right over the top (sitting on) of fluoro lights and had many very sharp bends.

The customer then spent a fortune having the whole office completely rewired correctly and for twelve months now there has not been one single problem.

You could replicate the problems with Intel CPUs I think. Are you sure that site isn't suffering from other things say incorrect electrification, magnetic source near, incorrect networking, faulty RAM, faulty ethernet card, incompatible video or printer drivers etc.
>Just here a few rooms away we have a problematic machine with Intel PIII CPU. It has many problems we can't reproduce whenever we take the machine out of that room. We even tried completely testing with all the equipment it's connected including speakers. It doesn't error if tested here in my room. We changed all outer cables in that room and still it randomly produces unexpected things. Problems occur only if the machine is in that room. Electrification is also tested to no avail :(
