Another approach than posted by Trey Walpole is to use timer. In the timer event periodically check MROW() and MCOL() functions to see if mouse curso is still over the required control.
In the VFP 7 there is add-on to the MouseMove event (additional parameter) that you can use to see if mouse leaves control.
