The combobox is visible only when called by the VALID method of a textbox in the grid, and I'd like the combobox to appear OVER the calling textbox. Is there a relative TOP and LEFT property in the grid object? When I assign the textbox's location props to the combo, it seems to zero to the GRID's props.

John, if I understand you correctly, you can use not the combobox over the grid but IN the grid column. You can place the combobox into a grid column in addition to the textbox (select your column and drop there a combobox from the Form Controls toolbar (not from the Project Manager). You can select which control to show anytime, manipulating Column.CurrentControl property.
