More than likely, you don't have the Ctrl-V hotkey available to your VFP app. You need to supply a menu entry with the Edit keys you want to have available in your app.

If you try to paste text from a Word document to the command window, you'll see that that works, because the Edit - Paste (Ctrl-V) menu is available.
