I think the problem is that this is an app which is to licenced to large
organistations (Accountants, Financial institutions, Insurers, Banks etc)
that have a lot of fairly 'old' hardware. They aren't going to want to
upgrade several 100 PCs by adding extra memory, for example (not yet at
least).
The app is simple - but my client still feels it's too slow - instantiating
that is. Once it's up - it's fine.
I may have to spend a bit of time checking the slow bits - but from past
experience I know this is likely to be VFP actually 'drawing' the controls
etc on the form.
I may look at whether I'm getting multiple form refreshes (as I know this
has been a problem in the past - where custom refresh code has been added.)
