I only saw two movies that came out in 2000 (at least I think they were 2000). Both fell into the Good category:

X-Men - This like Star Trek the Motion Picture had too much baggage to explain to the neophyte to make it great. I'm sure the sequel will be better.
Mission Impossible II - The special effects drove this movie and I'm a junky for that kind of stuff.
