Hello, I recently started using bbdownloadurl.fll from the files section of UT.

Anyways, it downloads a file from a specific url and gives you feedback. I quickly intergrated it with a status bar and found it to be quite useful.

I have run across only one problem, which is my question =-)

I have a small app, that checks a remote file and then decides if it needs to download anything. If a download is needed it activates bbdownloadurl.fll. If it doesn't do anything then it just closes.

Here is the problem: If I do download something then when I close my application it takes a while to close out. The main form disappears and for a few seconds (about 5) you see the default vfp screen. However, if I don't download anything and bbdownloadurl.fll is never run the app closes without a flaw. The main form disappears quickly and you never see a glimpse of the vfp default screen.

The only difference is that I run bbdownloadurl.fll. Does anyone know why this would happen? I have tried emailing the author but I havn't seen a reply yet and I need to finish this project up soon.

I also ran just bbdownloadurl.fll without my status bar or anything else I added and it still closes down very slowly. If appearence didn't matter so much this wouldn't be a problem.
