I have looked at Quickbooks' online help for the suggested format, but it is not consistent. Some examples show the trnsid,splid columns - some don't, some show a timestamp column after trnsid - some don't etc.
In one place it said the minimum required fields were trnstype,acct, and amount - that's why I tried the small file that I emailed you earlier.
I took your sample file and changed the account names to match my sample chart of accounts, and checked the columns against the online help for 6.0 (the price and qty were in a different order) and imported the file. The result is the same as before, it says the file was imported - but I do not see any change to the account balances. If I use account names that are not in the existing chart of accounts, it does create new account entries for them - but the balances still do not change.
I tried calling Intuit, but they said they did not offer support for this process.
