>>As far as the other question goes, what does posting a list have to do with whether or not you think they're deserving? <<

The issue of being "deserving" was raised by you, not me.

Posting a list with accompanying details of what forum MVP's are active in, allows everybody to benefit from their expertise, supports the assertion that the process is transparent, and avoids any suggestion of elitism or "behind closed doors" activity. That you need to ask permission to publish a list of MVP's who have apparently distinguished themselves by providing assistance to on-line communities, is not reassuring.

Is there any chance of seeing what forum these people are active in? I ask because I do not recognise some of the names and am obviously missing out on their expertise by not being part of their on-line community. I'd really like to participate.

I see > L < on the list. Great! What forum, please?

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
