Sure - nothing is *meant* to run off a gas generator. However, a standard notebook computer is actually pretty good - its battery forms a true, continuously on-line UPS and the transformer or internal power supply to keep it charged is often rated as widely as 90 to 140V input.

Some even offer 12VDC car adapters as well, fer cryin' out loud ;-)
