This is mean and uncalled for. George answers a
lot of file and folder management questions using
the Windows Script Host; a technology that is probably
new to most of this audience. Furthermore, he
usually the one who answers the questions in the
Pictures and Image Processing in VFP category
because, IMO, he knows a lot more about this subject
than anyone else on this forum.

IMO, some people received the MVP award for significant
non-technical contributions to VFP. Evan Delay is
a good example; he organizes the Wednesday night
lectures and he is very much involved in his local
VFP User Group. Do I think he deserves his MVP
award? I do because he provides free services
that are of great benefit to the VFP community. I
am not interested in providing this type of services
but I certainly appreciate his efforts.

You may disagree all you want with the way the MVP
awards are awarded. All the MVPs provide some
services that are important to other VFP programmers.
The fact that you or I don't learn much from some of
them is more indicative of our technical expertise
than anything else. The fact that some very deserving
individuals don't have a MVP attached to their name is
normal because it is subjective evaluation of their
contribution to the community. Do I think the system
is 100% fair? No. Do I care? No. I have far better
things to do than gripe about how some idiots < vbg >
attained their MVP awards.
