I guess you could code to add a record each time the current last one is used. Making the record show last would depend on what order your records are in.

Lots of folks around here don't like using grids for data entry, and use the "Add" button method, with the new values being added in text boxes. They reserve grids for viewing data or selecting a particular record to edit. I guess you could classify this as a "best practice." Maybe someone else will chime in with a further explanation of the pitfalls of using grids for data entry. I use the "Add" button method, so I don't have experience with the pitfalls of using the grid.
