Well, it was interesting to see how cold central Florida could really get. It's pretty bad when Seattle has better weather than Orlando.

Mike;

I enjoyed a Winter in Orlando (thanks to the United States Air force) when the temperature got down to 17. No matter where I was stationed while in the Air Force, the locals would always say: "We never had weather like this until you got here"! The swamp fog was a light green and hung about six inches above the ground, in small patches about a foot in diameter in all sorts of shapes. If you stepped on it the fog went in all directions away from your shoe - frozen light green fog. Never saw anything like it anywhere else.

In the summer time, if you stay still for 24 hours you will be covered with light green mold. Could it be related to the light green fog?

A word of advice while in Florida: Do not go swiming or wading unless it is posted that you may do so. A bunch of us ended up in the Hospital with the worlds worst rash, for swimming in one of Floridas 30,000 lakes and did not take the advice of the locals.

Tom
