Hi,

I'm new to SQL Server and have the task of cleaning up after someone who knew less than I...(g)

First of all, we're running 6.0 on an NT 3.51 server.

I'm getting negative device sizes when I edit a particular device(s). When I view all devices (using the device manager), the free vs. used matches the file sizes, but when I drill down to patricular devices, some show a device size that is incorrect, i.e. a 100MB device will show up as -334 or a 500MB device will show up as 66MB.

Furthermore, I cannot expand the device sizes. Upon further investigation, I discovered that one of the databases stored on one of the 'bad' devices is showing that it has outgrown it's allocated space. But it varies from where I look at it. From the database manager it shows used space = 676 and free space = -76 and when I edit that database it shows Data size = 500, data space available = 344.24, log size = 100, log space available = -421.06.

Any clues?

Thanks in advance,
Scot.
