I have solid dbc & dbf files sitting on a server at my office. (many different manchines are working with them now. so I know they are solid. However. here is my problem

I needed to open a project file and modify a few lines of code. and I moved the project file to my office machine. When I opened the project file, It asked if I wanted to make this new folder my current directory for the project and I answerd yes.

So I rebuilt the project, and everthing seemed to be working ok.

No I go to use the DBC and Dbf files, and VFP 6.0 says that I cant open the file for writing.

I tried rebooting the workstation, closing and opening vfp on the workstation, and it doesnet clear the problem. I had the exact same problem yesterday, but about 6:pm in it then allowed me access (I assuem becuase I was the only one at that time useing the database.

From any other workstations I can access the dbc-dbf. so I know its not a dbc corruption issue. and I believe it has something to do with the project file... (Which I wont open again.. )
Please., are there any thoughts as to how to clear this up ?

Thanks in Advance

Bob Lee
In the beginning, there was a command prompt, and all was well.
