>Ugh... It is not a matter of should. MS won't.

But they do, I think you lost me there.

>VB developers have always had to use other tools.

If they create apps like you do. There are alot more VB developers that don't do custom databases like you, I think you're ignoring that fact. Would you say every one who has written apps in VB usess ADO and SQL Server?

>My bet is that many, if not most VFP developers are going to stay in VFP - away from .Net for the simple reason that they don't build apps that are .Net related. The same can be said for many VB developers. I think a lot of folks are going to stay with VB 6 for quite some time to come. I think it is going to be 2-3 years before you see wholesale adoption of this new platform. Of course by then, MS will most likely inititate another phase shift..< s >..

Is this even supportive to your arguement?

>Yea, MS has it's golden chains on me....thats a laugh..!!

Ok, say you wanted to move away from MS, would you drop your investment in COM, .NET, SQL Server, VB, MTS, WSH and IIS? Not likely, while (if what you say about VFPers is true), I could move from VFP to Delphi alot easier than your 7 technologies could.
