Ed is my favorite UT member because he often provides exhaustive answers to really technical questions. Some of his answers are several pages long and I have seen original posters state the solutions didn't work because they didn't follow Ed's instructions exactly. It really upsets me someone comes back to tell me my solution, that I spent 30+ minutes writing, does not work because he/she did not follow it to the letter. I handle it by not responding to anything posted by the individual for a period of time; Ed's approach is more direct and IMO there is nothing wrong with both approaches.
