I'm not sure this is entirely correct.....

SQL Server uses 32k of memory for each connection, so there is an implicit limit due to the amount of memory you have. Since this is considered part fo the overhead allocation of SQL Server memory, your procedure and data caches will decrease in size with more connections added to the server. Thus, I'm not saying your wrong, either....(s)

I would think 200 connections is a lot for any platform unless you are "throwing hardware" at the problem, which SQL Server can do as well (and cheaper, from what I'm told (g)).
