It really upsets me someone comes back to tell me my solution, that I spent 30+ minutes writing, does not work because he/she did not follow it to the letter. I handle it by not responding to anything posted by the individual for a period of time; Ed's approach is more direct and IMO there is nothing wrong with both approaches.

I will disagree with you here, but state that I am happy for your view & mine to be different & I won't try to convince you I am right - after all, he's been helpful to you, all I've had is the suggestion that I should expect abuse.
