I had the exact same thing happen to me: database on my laptop was on d:\mssql7 and the other server was on c:\mssql7.

In the Restore Database window from EM, click on the Option tab. Change the Restore as data and log file names.

I use the From Device option then I point to a Backup.bak file for the restore. I've read help on RESTORE, but don't quite see where I can tell the file name location.
