I had the exact same thing happen to me: database on my laptop was on d:\mssql7 and the other server was on c:\mssql7.

In the Restore Database window from EM, click on the Option tab. Change the Restore as data and log file names.

>I successfully backed up a database from a SQL server on the network and want to restore that backup to my local SQL Server from the backup called c:\mssql7\backup\backup.bak. When attempting to restore the database OVER my local database I get the following error: [ The file d:\msssql7\data\dbpdr_data.mdf cannot be used by RESTORE. Consider using the WITH MOVE option to identify a valid location for the file. Backup or restore operation terminating abnormally. I am doing all this through the SEM. I use the From Device option then I point to a Backup.bak file for the restore. I've read help on RESTORE, but don't quite see where I can tell the file name location.
