My 2 cents:
As programmers we all have a job we're doing that we're getting paid for. If we ask for advice on here, we are in essence asking a total stranger to please help us do our jobs. Myself, I then appreciate all responses I receive whether they are exactly what I wanted, or perhaps a tad off the wall. Fact is it is our own responsibility to make sure OUR code works in the end. I don't think it's fair to flame Ed or others for leaving small errors in their code when they're just trying to help us FOR FREE when they don't need to even give us a second thought.
