To add some personal perspective to this and the rest of your post.....

Ed found a problem in some semi tested quickly written code that I posted to try and help someone and gently alerted me to the problem. It was that exchange between us that allowed for some mending of fences of problems between us that were mostly my fault. Since that time a number of months ago we have been able to establish a pretty decent online relationship for which I am grateful. So I would add my hearty agreement with all that you have said in your post. Thanks.
