This may be fine, but may also take some handling of the child grid refresh (or not - does it really refresh automatically?). Obviously, this is something I haven't tried.
A thing to try would be to copy all the visible fields into a read/write cursor, and then blank out (or include some symbol for ditto) instead of the repeating values coming from the parent records. This is very xBase, but then so is Set Skip.
