Hi Paul,
>>>You will find that the book is much too rudimentary to have any real value. You'd be better off going with something a little more industrial strength.

>>I have to disagree. While at first I did not get much out of this book, the more I am using SQL Server and VFP, the more invaluable it has become. I think there may be room for improvement, and would love to see a second edition, but overall, I rely on it quite a bit.

> Really? I have yet to make it all the way through it. I was really put off by some of the writing style(s) in it. I find it really annoying to have code examples shown without a really good explaination of it. I found myself skipping sections of it because of that, which is never a good sign.
Since the book has four different authors, each one writing different chapters, the writing styles obviously varied from chapter to chapter. It'd be interesting to see if the writing styles that you didn't like corresponded to the same author or not. < g >
