Canada is a young country, having only been formed in 1867. We didn't have a flag until the 1960's, didn't have a constitution until 1980, the last province didn't join until 1950(?) and we even formed a new territory a few years ago. Canada has no identity though. When travelling I ask people what they think about Canada, usually they say "I don't". When pressed, they may say something about nature, snow and Canadian bacon... and if they have been here they will talk about politeness and how clean things are. But this isn't a national identity. Is Canada thee most boring/faceless country... or do these things take time?

After I hear some opinions, I will post how Canadians view their identity, and see if it jives with what others think.
