Hi, Mark!

We just making the same investigation to determine which framework is the best choise. I'm interested too in such information despite we already reviewed most of the popular frameworks, but did not made a decision yet. Can you give more specifics what kind of application you're going to make? Different frameworks supposed to be used for different purposes.

You can also look to following link:
http://members.home.net/bmassi/article0719.htm
You will find there nice list of the items you require to know before to make a choise.

I can say only that there are no any really good framework for most cases. In most cases for large applications usually framework require some fixes or even rebuilding.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
