Thanks for your reply, I'm still checking into the issue, in light of yours and Ed's reply.

OK, I guess I was working under the idea that open all tables in the Default DS at the beginning of an app speeds up use of the tables in other DS's. I guess because they ARE "USEd AGAIN". I've never found this to be a problem, tho - that i know of. Hmmmmm.....
