I disagree with your hyposthesis that one person has "used" (not just looked at) many frameworks. The problem I see with that is that once you find a framework that does what you want, why would you go out and use another one with the same strengths. For example, IMO, VFE and MM have very similar strengths. Both are OO-based frameworks and great for n-tier development so I don't see one person using both. The investment would be too great for the return.

However, I do see people using different frameworks where the strengths are very different. For example, the current version of VMP is form-based and the framework works very well to create desktop and 2-tier (client/server) applications. I know of a couple of people that have used VMP and VFE because of the differences (Mike Yearwood, Fletcher Johnson - actually does work for AppDev and I believe trains on both).

Kelly Conway did an in-depth analysis of most (if not all) of the commercial frameworks for FoxTalk. He has changed jobs since those days but you can get his new e-mail from his entry on the Wiki. You might be able to get some new insights from him.
