NT requires more than a floppy disk to boot; you can purchase a product ERD Commander Pro from www.winternals.com that will let you build a 4 disk set that will start NT in a console Window for troubleshooting even if the boot partition of an NT system is damaged. I'm not aware of a method to implement NT as a diskless workstation in a LAN environment. I'd expect that the cost and speed benefits of a hard drive for the OS would make sense; using a LAN for swap file space is going to drive up LAN traffic considerably, and security is going to be a difficult issue, since the NT workstation may not hsve all control of it's own operating system resources deployed that way.
