how can i run the catalogue.exe on cd-rom on computer where there is no vfp loaded.

Hi Mohammed,

Ed is right, there is a basic set of files needed to run VFP on any machine which sit in the windows directory along with registry entries etc.

By far the easiest method is to use the setup wizard.
Also to run an .exe from a CD you would need to make sure that the .exe is pointing to a hard disk to store it's temporary files (cursors & foxuser)
also where would all the tables live? obviously not on the CD (unless you just want read access)
