Hi Mark,
Several govs are moving to Linux, especially after a report identifying security issues with WinXX, AND since it is now
believed that not only did the Russian hackers (http://www.hack.zone.ru) get the 'family jewels' for all versions of Winxx and W2K,
they also got the source code on all projects that Microsoft hasn't even announced, ie, the research.

Govs I've heard about are Mexico, China, Formosa, Germany, France, England, Canada, China, Russia, several other European
countries and several countries in South America. Only the Gov with the most to loose, America, has not announced plans to move.
But, the ultra secret NSA has developed an ultra secure, realtime version of Linux and is releasing the source to GPL. !!!
So, I think it is only a matter of time before the US government switched to Linux. This probably explains why MS has put so much
talent and money into developing competition to Sony's PlayStation, which is mostly hardware. It wouldn't suprise me that MS is
using their own version of "Linux" - read heavily copied- for the software.
Why?
W2K is a dead end product that people are not adopting or migrating to in numbers sufficient to sustain Microsoft's cash flow.
