I'm still developing my one and only reservation app based on VFE 5.0. I'm sure my app contains way too much instance code but the client is happy. They have me working on Phase 2 enhancements.

A few questions...

My biggest complaint about 5.0 was/is the slow form instantiation (karma inherited from Codebook). I keep my forms open behind one another so that helps but it's still not instantaneous when switching from form to form. How much better is VFE 6 in this area?

Any other comments on things you like better about VFE 6 over VFE 5?

I'm quite interested in eventually moving to this model:
VFP or SQL backend
VFP middleware
(HTTP or COM+)
VFP front-end

I know that West Wind Connection is very helpful in this model but I'm confused about how the frameworks fit in. Would you base both the middleware and the front-end on VFP 6.0? Could you sketch that out for the 3-tier model?
